HIWASHAZU PORTAL

Hiwashazu and its three moons
This planet orbits around Thira, a solar analogue in the Milky Way galaxy. It has 1.3 Earth mass, but due to its lower-than-Earth density, its gravity is just 7% stronger that Earth's. It has three small moons that orbit at an orbital period ratio of 1:4:9 starting from the closest one, which orbits at a distance of 50,087.6km (27.15hrs), the second one orbits at 126,292km (108.6hrs) and the third one orbits at 216,955km (244.35hrs). This means that every 36 days in the planet there is an alignment of these three satellites, which gave them the base for their month-equivalent period.
The planet is inhabited by humans, plants and other non-native life forms, the same found on Gelo and Keléshtevadáran. Its atmosphere is rich on oxygen and show little signs of terraforming process. The planet also has the one of the strongest planetary magnetosphere in the system, second only to Companion's magnetosphere.

HUMANS ON HIWASHAZU
When compared to the humans from Gelo, Keleshtevadaran and other planets, the humans that inhabit this planet have been considerably modified, to the point of hermaphroditism being the norm; as consequence, absent or abnormal pubertal changes have become common, among other genetic disorders. Humans are born with both genitalia, but one of them is always atrophied; but when the puberty comes (if the person has no pubertal disorder), the person can develop sexual interest on either male or female traits, prompting a hormonal change that readies the opposite sexual organ and atrophies the other - these changes can happen over the course of a year. These changes can happen later in life again, bidirectionally, but after puberty these changes are less noticeable. Lactation happens in both parents of a newly born child for up to a year and a half - provided both parents live together -, due to ferormonal exchanges between the parents.
There is also a condition affecting about 15% of the population where people can be simultaneous hermaphrodites, having both reproductive organs fully developed, to the point that, if the person wants, it can self-reproduce (however, the practice has become a tabu in most societies all over the planet, and in some countries the person who does this can be strongly discriminated).
About 8% of the population is born either male or female, without hermaphroditism, indicating some degree of rejection to the genetic changes. It is estimated that in the past this proportion could have been bigger, but there were instances in Hiwashazu's history when gonochorist (either male or female) individuals were persecuted and killed. Even rarer is when a child of both hermaphrodite parents give birth to a gonochoric child, and the genetic mechanism that causes this is so far unknown.

PLANET'S FORMATION
The planet was formed inside the protoplanetary disk that formed its host star, approximately 4.5 billion years ago. It was formed as smaller fragments combined together in the accretion process that occurred during the first 100 million years. Large amounts of gold, silver and radioactive materials do exist in its core - which alone accounts for nearly half of the planet's mass -, which seems to point to an interstellar preplanetary-mass body that crashed on it or served as a seed for the planet's formation, giving it a heavy dense core of liquid gold and silver that powers the magnetic field around the planet.
Apparently the planet faced a heavy late bombardment phase much like Earth faced, which left giant impact craters in its surface; however most of the bodies that crashed onto the planet were made of water and CO2 ice. This made the planet to be partially covered in water at first and soon led to a runaway greenhouse effect that made planetary temperatures reach as high as 600°C and atmospheric pressure reach 100atm. This phase occurred during the first two billion years of the planetary system's formation. With time, water reacted with carbon dioxide to form acids, and little by little the water was being consumed on the planet.
For 2.5 billion years since the planet's formation, the planet began losing most of its atmosphere, and carbon was slowly being absorbed by rocks, which sank to the planet's interior, trapping carbon. Temperatures and other atmospheric conditions prevented live from forming on the planetary surface, although many complex organic molecules were formed; these abundant carbon-based compunds were mostly trapped in rocks, forming reservoirs that, under pressure and temperature through the eons, formed materials similar to mineral coal, graphite and oil. Atmospheric concentration of oxygen begin rising by this period, as many non-biological phenomenon released free oxygen in its atmosphere, reaching as much as 5%.
During the last 2 billion years, the atmospheric oxygen concentration to raised to 18%, and several cometary impacts on the planet brough enough water to cover 76% of its surface. A considerable amount of nitrogen exists in the atmosphere and mixed with these chemicals, leading it to be a rich soil for Earth-like plants (such as the ones brought by the Captors). During the last thousand years before the Captors released human populations on Hiwashazu, terraforming processes raised even more the atmospheric oxyigen concentrations, as well as saw a fast development of a biosphere as the Captors began seeding the planet's surface with several types of trees and plants, as well as spreading several species of animals and insects to sustain a considerable biosphere, with the planet becoming very much similar to Earth.
Today, the planet has a pretty nice Earth-like atmosphere made mainly of nitrogen and oxygen, but it has also a considerable amount of noble gases in its atmosphere (except for radon and helium), which gives beautiful colours when lightnings occur. Of all known terraformed planets, Hiwashazu has the most Earth-like biosphere, since little genetic modifications were necessary in order for the plants and animals to adapt to the new environment.
